IAM Member Programs
Mentorship Program: Currently have 33 mentors across Renton, Everett and Kent
Mechanic Feedback: "It has been great to have someone with the experience in functional test to walk us thru the trouble shooting process, it has saved us time and rework."
Management Feedback: "The Mentor is training 1 on 1 basis so the composite repair mechanic can obtain a level 4 Carbon Repair Certification, as this is not an easy certification to obtain."
Green Light Classes: 5 Classes Delivered in 2024, 35 students
Survey results were: Instructors were rated excellent, students felt like they were treated well and appreciated the real world experience that the instructors have.

Build out staff (Welding Director, Boeing Program Director), complete new program development, deliver Boeing classes.

Spokane Training Center &
Union Hall
We have broken ground to build out a warehouse into a new union hall and training center in Spokane, WA.
The Machinists Institute Side
  • Classrooms on the first and second floors
  • Four dedicated offices for the Lead Instructor, Director of Regional Operations, and contract instructors.
  • Shop Space - an impressive 9,600 sq ft that includes: 10 welding booths, a machine shop, and dedicated space for the Industrial Machinery, Machinist and Heavy duty equipment apprenticeship, and capacity to expand programs.
  • This space allows for apprenticeship courses as well as revenue producing classes open to the public 
  • Our 40-ft training trailer will have a dedicated parking behind the building
  • The shop crane - 10-ton capacity
  • Jib crane
Union Hall Side
  • Offices for the Business Representative, President, and Vice President
  • A dedicated reception area
  • The 21 member meeting room/classroom + additional overflow capacity
  • Conference Room
  • Break room will be equipped with a range/stove for Union members’ monthly meetings
